Conducting the Fourth Assembly of the Presidents of the Universities of Iran and the Arab World at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad

On the 15th of May 2018, Dr. Mohammad Kafi, president of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, met Dr. Mohammad Ali Rabbani, director of the Center for International Cultural Studies, Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, and approved the plan of organizing the Fourth Assembly of the Presidents of the Universities of Iran and the Arab World at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. During this meeting, Dr. Kafi expressed his gratitude for Islamic Culture and Relations Organization’s interest in the abilities and experiences of the top Universities of Iran, and requested the efficient conducting of this assembly at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad according to the high standards of this holy city. Dr. Ehsan Ghabool, head of the International Academic Relations Department and the Office of Non-Iranian Students of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, also referred to the previous collaborations between Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and Islamic Culture and Relations Organization and requested further financial support of this organization for its co-organized programs with Ferdowsi University.

Dr. Ghabool expressed his hopes for broadening the collaborations between Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and Islamic Culture and Relations Organization regarding other geographical regions such as that of the Subcontinent. Dr. Rabbani extended his thanks to Ferdowsi University of Mashhad for co-organizing successful programs with Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, and due to the higher status of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad on the international platform and specifically the Middle East, requested the organizing of the Fourth Assembly of the Presidents of the Universities of Iran and the Arab World and the transfer of its permanent Secretariat to Ferdowsi University of Mashhad which received the official approval of the University’s President.

In this meeting, 24^th and 25^th of December, 2019 was appointed for holding this assembly under the chairmanship of the President of the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and with Dr. Ehsan Ghabool as its secretariat.
